It belongs to a wider range that includes both floor and table versions, differing in proportion and size yet united by a distinctive design that shifts the entire lampshade section away from the centre and toward the side of the stem.

True to its era, the 1953 floor lamp features a shade in a classic cylindrical shape, offering a refined interplay of finishes: satin gold on the stem and the interior of the shade, contrasted against matt black on the exterior of the shade, the base and the stem grip. This careful balance of materials and tones gives the piece a decorative yet linear character, elegantly evoking mid-century style while remaining strikingly modern.

Constructed in metal, the 1953 floor lamp is an LED lamp that provides direct light, with a reflector, base and handle finished in painted matt black, and a stem and closing disk finished in satin gold. It is compatible with 2 x max 75W E27 bulbs and is fitted with a universal dimmer, allowing light intensity to be adjusted to suit different moods and settings.

Designed by Ostuni & Forti in 2019 as part of Oluce's celebration of its own design heritage, the 1953 floor lamp exemplifies the brand's instinct for creating objects that transcend fashions and eras. Produced by Oluce, the oldest Italian design company in the illumination sector still active today, this piece stands as a refined addition to any contemporary interior, bridging historical design language with present-day craftsmanship.
