Rather than relying on a mechanism or digital display, it calls for daily human intervention, inviting the owner to methodically adjust the date each day and, in doing so, become part of the object's function.

The calendar is composed of four horizontal strips, each crafted from different woods and printed with the days of the week, the months, or the dates. These slender strips slide through a single central wooden pivot, which frames the current date combination at its centre. The design plays on balance and tension, echoing the structure of a traditional set of scales, and reinterprets that familiar form into a functional, sculptural calendar for the wall.

Crafted from a thoughtful mix of woods, including walnut, lime wood, beech, maple and wenge, the Bilancia Perpetual Wall Calendar combines natural material contrast with precise, minimal construction, a hallmark of Mari's rigorous design language and Danese Milano's enduring commitment to functional beauty.

The calendar is available in two language versions, English and Italian, allowing the day and month strips to be chosen according to preference.

A subtle yet engaging presence for the home or office, the Bilancia Perpetual Wall Calendar stands as both a practical timekeeping tool and a piece of design history, perfectly at home among Danese Milano's celebrated collection of objects for everyday life.
