A cord that is also a lamp
The cord, one of the most disturbing decorating derails is made useful. In true make love not war spirit they wanted to embrace the cord in a simple yet characteristic product.
Cord Lamp Story
Wires and unruly lamp cords tend to mess up even the most well-planned decor. Instead of the usual snake’s nest of winding cords, Cord Lamp stands surprisingly tall.
The design trio Form Us With Love makes a virtue out the problem with the Design House Stockholm Cord Lamp. The textile cord transforms itself into a steel tube and holds aloft an oversized globe bulb, complete with dimmer and all.
Petrus Palmér together with his co-designers Jonas Pettersson and John Löfgren say “You can let the wires and lamp cords irritate you, trip over them or you can surrender and hide them. But isn't it smarter to make friends with the enemy?." Form Us With Love turns the cursed cord into a simple eye-catcher with the Cord Lamp. If there’s any message to a lamp, just for the fun of it, what about 'make peace not war'?
