This lamp was designed by Johanna Grawunder in 2005 for the Italian manufacturer Flos. It is a small and versatile lamp that can be mounted either on a ceiling or the wall.
Wan is a Japanese word that means a bowl, the essential [part of the lamp is a bowl-shaped aluminium shade that provides direct with no glare. The bowl has a special anti-glare structure consisting of a metallic cylinder and thick safety glass disc attached by a replaceable retaining ring. this light comes with two inner rings, one in black and one in green to enable alteration of the colour.
In its endless variety shapes and materials, with its history and mixing cultures, this lamp probably is a must-have for humanity. the Flos Wan Ceiling/Wall Lamp is a little archaeological find that combines the contradicting high-tech look and highly modern lighting of the third millennium.
