Stitches is a new series of lamps designed by Burojet for the Spanish lighting manufacturer LZF. Composed of four models (Mopti, Tombuctú, Djenné, and Bamako), this collection is made out of hand-picked wood veneer to ensure a premium quality.
Each lamp of this series is named after a town or city in Mali, as their shapes are reminiscent to the adobe mosques found across the West African Nation. LZF’s Stitches lamps are ecological, sustainable and aesthetic at the same time. They are made out of wood coming from certified forests, recognised by the FSC council.
The light bulb is not included, but you can choose between the two following specifications: CFL Globe 1 x 23 W max. or LED Globe DIM 1 x 14 W max. If you go for the DIM LED, you will have the possibility to adjust the brightness at will. The electrical cable is transparent, with a length of 2 meters.
The two prizes that the suspension lamp Bamako was accorded is not by chance: it is crafted with passion and precision, and with respect for the material that is used. It is therefore only natural that it won the Good Design award in Chicago in 2017 and the German design award winner in 2018.
