Diva belongs to the floor and pendant lamp series, made of natural materials and available in two colour combinations. Delicately curved wooden slats create an interior atmosphere of kindness and comfort.
This family of luminaires is designed by Peter Natedal and Thomas Kalvatn Egset who wanted to create a proud heritage of Norwegian craftsmanship. The two young designers experimented with plywood and its different forms – and the result is "Diva" series of lamps.
The Northern Lighting Diva Floor Lamp’s outer frame consists of 32 rolling walnut or oak plywood strips that lead to two wooden cylinders. Inside sits a sleek metal housing, including blown frosted glass globe. The outer frame can be rotated in two directions, whereby two different sculptures are formed.
The light shade is made of mouth blown glass and you can find it in the white version only. Steel base comes in the natural metallic colour and fits great in any interior, so when the lamp is in limbo - it radiates dynamics, and when necessary, it turns into a piece of furniture – a fantastic element of the decor.
The aim of Northern Lighting is to create and inspire. This is achieved through the conception of original ideas so unique that conventional methods appear utterly outdated.
