Porcelain II is a light bulb that serves as a functional but also as a decorative element in itself. With its round shape, Porcelain II is part of Tala's "Feature" collection. Like all the other bulbs in this collection, Porcelain II provides a warm (2700 K), soft light that is reminiscent to the illumination of a candle.
Tala has ensured that their carefully designed filament forms are easy to look at. They have done this by making sure that the power of the light is well-balanced in order to obtain the correct position between decorative and practical.
Tala’s Porcelain collection is created as a countermeasure to exceedingly industrialized designs. The Porcelain light bulbs look great placed against daring colors and background, dividing space and color with spheres of white light. The Porcelain II light bulb is more daring and compact than its counterpart, Porcelain I. It can be placed by itself or within a series of other bulbs, and provides sufficient light for interior spaces with a gentle, white light.
The specifications of the Porcelain II light bulb are as follows: 220 - 240V, 6 Watt, CRI > 95, E26/E27 base, 540 Lumens (90 Lumens per Watt), mercury free. The bulb is dimmable with trailing edge dimmers and the dimensions are as follows: width 80 mm and height 120 mm. As mentioned, the porcelain glass is matte white with 2700K. The switch cycles are 30 000. The Porcelain II light bulb has an average lifespan of 30 000 hours. Fixtures are sold separately.
Tala is an award-winning lighting brand, founded on the premise that good design can help mitigate climate change. From their London-based studio, they explore the tension between sustainability, technology and design through their wide-ranging collections.
Their aim is to elevate the humble light bulb to a design object. From the functional to the decorative, their LED lights illuminate the interiors of residential homes, offices, designer studios, stores, cafes, restaurants and hotels.
