Designed by Andreas Bozarth Fornell, this light fixture was inspired by the ever-changing and fleetingly out-of-reach world of art and fashion. The designer coveted to reach for that coveted stagnant point in all trends and created a streamlined light fixture that will add an underrated and understated beauty to any space.
The story behind the idea of the Fornell is truly inspiring. Andreas Bozarth was a cabinetmaker who apprenticed with an architect and landed a job as an in-house architect of his own for a Swedish brand. He’s known for creating inspiring and distinguished retail interiors all over the world – from New York, LA, Paris, London, Tokyo and many more. He learned to blend various materials and aesthetics from his journey all over the world, and came up with the idea to design the Fornell light.
In the words of the designer himself, this light is an ode to both ‘freedom and functionality.’ The Fornell is made from polished mirror and lacquered matt stainless steel. The shade is actually made from precision-bent stainless steel, which ensures longevity and durability aside from a beautiful aesthetic.
