Designed by Thomas Vincent in 2021, Điểm turns single sheets of perforated steel into stools, round and nesting tables, a table lamp, a bookend, a pot and a small square. The look is sleek and monolithic, defined by the square-hole matrix. Black or cream powder coating, raw varnished steel that patinates with time, or brushed and mirror-polished stainless steel. Made in BằNG's workshop in Vietnam.
Điểm is BằNG's 2021 collection of accessories, furniture and lighting, designed by Thomas Vincent. Made from the fewest possible steel sheets, cut with a matrix of square holes, the pieces take sleek, monolithic shapes defined by what has been removed. In Vietnamese, điểm means point or dot. The family covers a table lamp, stools, round and nesting tables, an edge table, a bookend, a pot and a small square. Finishes: black or cream powder coating, a raw varnished steel that oxidises and evolves over time, and brushed or mirror-polished stainless steel.
