True to Munari's sharp geometric sensibility, the piece takes the form of a cylinder built upon a hexagonal base, resulting in a silhouette that is both structurally distinctive and visually refined. The interplay between the rounded body and the faceted foundation gives Sicilia a quiet architectural quality that distinguishes it from conventional containers of its kind.

The piece is crafted entirely from polished stainless steel, a material chosen for its durability and clean, reflective finish. This construction ensures Sicilia maintains a sleek, timeless appearance while standing up to everyday use, making it a practical yet considered addition to any interior where thoughtful design meets function.

As part of the enduring legacy of Bruno Munari's work with Danese Milano, Sicilia reflects the brand's long-standing commitment to pairing rigorous design thinking with everyday objects. It is a fitting example of how functional items can carry the same formal integrity as more prominent design pieces, bringing a sense of considered craftsmanship to a role often overlooked.

Suited to residential, office, or hospitality settings, Sicilia serves its practical purpose as a wastepaper basket while contributing a sculptural presence to the space it occupies. It stands as a testament to Munari's ability to transform the ordinary into something quietly remarkable.
