Crafted from a single piece of solid oak wood, this ingenious puzzle is cut in one continuous line to produce sixteen distinct fish shapes, transforming a simple block of timber into an exercise in geometry, imagination, and play.

The brilliance of 16 Pesci lies in its deceptively simple concept: a single cut, repeated in varying configurations, yields a multitude of forms, each recognizable as a different fish. This elegant solution reflects Enzo Mari's lifelong dedication to rational design and his belief in objects that educate as much as they delight, making this puzzle a standout piece within Danese Milano's historic catalogue.

Each piece is produced as a limited edition, presented in a silk-screened wooden case with figures crafted in oak wood. Production is restricted to 200 pieces per year, underscoring the artisanal care and exclusivity behind every edition. The puzzle's cultural and design significance has earned it a place in prestigious public collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago.

More than a tabletop curiosity, 16 Pesci embodies Danese Milano's enduring philosophy of merging functionality, education, and craftsmanship. It stands as a tactile tribute to Mari's design legacy, offering collectors and design enthusiasts alike a piece that is as intellectually engaging as it is beautifully made.
