fontana-arte-bilia-mini-portable-table-lamp
Fontana Arte Bilia Mini Portable Table Lamp

Designed by Gio Ponti in 1932, the Fontana Arte Bilia Mini Portable Table Lamp is nothing more than a sphere set in an apparently impossible balance on a cone that serves as its base. When he drew Bilia, Gio Ponti already imagined a smaller version in a range of "spray colours". From those handwritten notes on the original project, FontanaArte now presents Bilia Mini as a cordless, rechargeable lamp in new colour variations.

The sphere is a diffuser in satin-finished white blown glass that spreads a soft, diffused light, and the cone base is made of metal. The integrated LED (1.8 W, 100 lm) gives a warm 2700 K light with a colour rendering index above 90, and it can be dimmed directly on the lamp.

Because it is rechargeable, Bilia Mini goes wherever it is needed: on a dining table, a bedside table, a shelf or a desk. The battery lasts 5 hours at full power and up to 15 hours at the lowest setting, and a full charge takes 4 hours. A USB cable is included; the power adapter is not. The lamp is rated IP20 for indoor use.

Bilia Mini measures Ø 12 cm x H 26 cm and comes in six finishes: Matt White, Matt Black, Satin Nickel, Glossy Black Nickel, Satin Copper and Brass. Small enough to carry from room to room, it keeps the proportions of one of the most recognisable shapes in Italian lighting.
