Created by GamFratesi, this piece reworks the iconic Beetle silhouette with a looser, wadding-style upholstery and a piping-free finish, trading tailored precision for an inviting softness and expressive comfort.

The chair preserves the Beetle's defining features: a curved dual-shell structure and slim, conical legs that reflect GamFratesi's signature fusion of Danish minimalism and Italian elegance. On the Beetle Soft, however, the focus shifts inward, celebrating volume, tactility, and visible comfort. Subtle pleats and relaxed folds replace the tightly tailored padding of the original, echoing the relaxed design ethos of the 1970s while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary aesthetics.

This particular variant features front upholstery in Belsuede Special FR from Dedar, paired with a shell in American Walnut with a semi matt lacquered finish and a base in black chrome. The result is a refined material composition that balances softness with structural clarity, making it a versatile choice for counter-height seating in comfort-driven interiors.

Made to order, the Beetle Soft Counter Chair is part of GUBI's expanding upholstery program, offering a new generation of finishes that enhance its plush texture. A considered addition to kitchen islands, counters, and social dining spaces where relaxed comfort meets enduring design.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0659/2646/3734/files/10144826_F3Q_Beetle_Soft_Counter_Chair_Black_Chrome_Base_American_Walnut_Veneer_Shell_Dedar_2C_Belsuede_132.jpg?v=1790770676
