Conceived in 1972 and produced exclusively for private clients during Crespi's lifetime, the collection has now been brought into production by GUBI for the first time, drawn directly from her original sketches in celebration of what would have been her 100th year.

Rooted in Crespi's lifelong fascination with natural materials, sculptural stacked forms and Eastern philosophies gathered through her extensive travels, the sofa reflects her ambition to dissolve the boundary between indoor and outdoor living. She resisted curtains and screens that might obstruct the free movement of light and air, favouring instead what her daughter described as her "deep sentiment for the cosmic energy of nature" — a sensibility clearly expressed in this design's organic, open silhouette.

Built on a rattan base, the Bohemian 72 Sofa pairs natural craftsmanship with a fully upholstered seat and back for lasting comfort.
