hay-weekday-bench
Hay Weekday Bench

The Hay Weekday Bench began as an impromptu solution to a lack of seating at a dinner party, and designers Hannes & Fritz have kept that spirit of bringing people together at the heart of the design. Its solid, robust presence is softened by gently rounded joints, giving the bench a warm and familiar character that invites shared meals and easy conversation.

Built on the same simple construction as the classic picnic bench, the Weekday Bench is made from strong, durable pine planks that patinate beautifully and are made to last for many years. A water-based, weather-resistant surface treatment makes it suitable for outdoor use in a wide range of settings, from cafés and public parks to private or shared gardens.

The bench is offered in three sizes, all with a seat height of 45 cm: W111 x D23 cm, W140 x D23 cm and the more generous W190 x D32 cm. It comes in solid pine in a choice of finishes and colours: Azure blue, Natural pine, Olive, Steel blue and Wine red. This allows the bench to sit quietly in a natural setting or add a confident note of colour to a terrace or courtyard.

For extra comfort, the bench can be paired with seat cushions in selected textiles. It also belongs to the wider Weekday family, which includes the Weekday Bench Duo, Weekday Table and Weekday Cushion.

Hannes & Fritz are a German-Swiss design duo who met at ECAL in Lausanne. Their approach starts from archetypal forms, which they reinterpret in a contemporary context, resulting in furniture with a strong yet universally appealing character.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0659/2646/3734/files/Weekday_Bench-life-3b4ad6c3_d5d4_48f1_a783_fc11b522c541_Weekday_Bench_1220x1220_3fadf7d6-fd2b-4573-8973-c273e21c3cd7.jpg?v=1793220556
