hay-weekday-table
Hay Weekday Table

The Weekday Table by Hay brings the spirit of communal dining into the home, the café or the garden. Designed by Hannes & Fritz, it was inspired by the idea of bringing people together around a shared meal, and its solid, robust presence combined with softly rounded joints gives it a warm and familiar character that invites a social atmosphere.

The construction follows that of the classic picnic table, a simple and honest form that the designers have refined in a contemporary context. The table is made from strong, durable pine planks that will patinate beautifully and last for many years. A water-based, weather-resistant surface treatment makes it suitable for outdoor use too, from cafés and public parks to private or shared gardens, while it sits just as comfortably indoors.

The Weekday Table is available in two sizes: L180 x W66 x H74 cm and L230 x W83 x H74 cm. The smaller size suits compact terraces and intimate gatherings, while the larger one comfortably seats a bigger group. Three finishes are offered: natural lacquered pine, which lets the grain of the wood speak for itself, olive and steel blue, each a lacquered pinewood finish that adds a muted touch of colour.

Hannes & Fritz are a German-Swiss design duo who met at ECAL in Lausanne, and their partnership began with the spontaneous construction of a bench at a dinner party. The Weekday Table belongs to the Weekday Collection they designed for Hay, which also includes a bench and a cushion, making it easy to complete a generous, welcoming seating setup around the table.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0659/2646/3734/files/Weekday_Table-life-c355fcfb_2406_41a9_8dd8_7305a2f55f2b_Weekday_Table_imageslid.jpg?v=1793220489
