paper-collective-a-city-encounter-06-embroidered-artwork
Paper Collective A City Encounter 06 Embroidered Artwork

A City Encounter 06 is an embroidered artwork by Paper Collective, created in collaboration with Copenhagen design studio Spacon. It belongs to A City Encounter, the brand's first collection of embroidered pieces, which celebrates the everyday moments that define life in the Danish capital: bike rides with friends, beers by the water, swimming in the canals and city rain.

Rather than relying on familiar or touristic views, Spacon draws on Copenhagen as a lived experience. Each scene begins as a hand-drawn illustration, then is carefully interpreted in delicate stitching. The result is a textured, tactile piece that brings a quiet, personal story to the wall.

The artwork is made in Portugal using cotton thread on natural linen, giving it a soft, organic character that suits Scandinavian and contemporary interiors alike. It measures 40 x 50 cm, a versatile size for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways or a gallery-style arrangement.

Each piece comes ready to hang with an invisible magnetic hanging system, so the embroidery sits cleanly on the wall without a visible frame. The set includes 2 magnets, 2 screws and 2 metal hangers that slide into the top and bottom of the artwork. Please note that wall plugs are not included.

Spacon is an award-winning Copenhagen spatial design studio that approaches design as a form of hosting, creating spaces and objects that invite openness and presence. That philosophy shines through in this piece, a thoughtful way to bring a slice of everyday city life into your home.
