Muuto Strand

Strand, designed by Benjamin Hubert for Muuto, takes its name from the endless tiny strands that together form its structure. A cocoon composite is sprayed onto a steel frame in three stages — the fibre web, the cocoon plastic and a protective coating — giving a surface that glows softly when lit and reads as a sculptural form when it is not. The family covers open and closed pendants and a table lamp in 39 and 59 cm.
