A Barcelona lighting house founded in 2013, where craft and experiment meet. Parachilna hand-assembles its lamps to order just outside Barcelona, working with designers such as Jaime Hayon, Neri&Hu, Atelier Oï, Stephen Burks and Partisans. Pendants, chandeliers, wall, table and floor lamps combine steel, textile, ceramic, glass and acrylic in sculptural shapes, from the colourful Aballs to the lantern-like Bai and the sweeping Gweilo.
Parachilna is a Barcelona lighting house where tradition and experimentation go hand in hand. Founded in 2013, it carries on a longer story: Josep Aregall's Alta Costura first launched under Metalarte in 1992, and Parachilna now reissues pieces of design history like it alongside new work. Every lamp is hand-made and assembled to order in its own workshop just outside Barcelona.
The collection covers pendants and chandeliers, ceiling, wall, table and floor lamps by designers such as Jaime Hayon (Aballs, Lighto, Chinoz, Ma-Rock), Neri&Hu (Bai, Denglong), Atelier Oï (Oïphorique), Stephen Burks (Anwar, Babel), Partisans (Gweilo), Jordi Veciana (Petra, Alistair, B15) and Josep Aregall (Costura, Talla 3). Expect steel frames with textile shades, ceramic and glass, acrylic and aluminium, often in bold colours and playful, sculptural shapes.
