Plato Design works with a fine, ultra-thin concrete that it colours through and casts by hand in Italy, so no two pieces are exactly alike. The range is built on simple geometric bodies: the slim Cromia and Ila cylinders as pendants, ceiling and wall lamps, the Lola cone, the flat Rino disc, the two-tone Alice spotlights and the brass-jointed Argia adjustable spots, plus the Lena and Esse table lamps and the Nino gnomes for the garden. All lamps take a replaceable bulb and come in 24 matt concrete colours; every piece is made to order, with a lead time of about three to four weeks.
Plato Design is an Italian studio that designs and handcrafts lamps and objects in an ultra-thin coloured concrete of its own making. The collection covers the Cromia and Ila pendants and their trio versions, the Cromia, Alice and Rino ceiling lamps, the Ada, Otto and Cromia wall lamps, the Argia adjustable spotlights, the Teo recessed spotlight, the Lena and Esse table lamps and the Nino garden gnomes. Every piece is available in 24 standard concrete colours, from ivory and dove grey to teal, burgundy and mustard yellow, and is made to order in Italy.
