Muuto Loft
Loft, designed by Thomas Bentzen for Muuto, is honest, simple design built from contrasting materials — a solid powder-coated steel base offset by warm plywood shaped to the body. The family covers a chair, a chair with armrests, a counter stool and a bar stool, in oak with black, deep red, dusty green or grey frames, and an all-black version. The plywood keeps its grain and the steel stays matt, so the pieces sit as easily in a workspace as at a dining table.
The Loft series takes its cue from industrial design: a powder-coated steel frame paired with moulded plywood that curves to the body. It runs from the dining chair through the counter and bar stool to a version with armrests, so a kitchen island and a dining table can be furnished from one family.
