Belid makes its lamps in Varberg, Sweden, where metal is spun, lacquered and assembled and the textile shades are sewn by hand. The range runs from the Primus kitchen pendant and the dimmable Cato reading lamp to Diablo, Picasso, Horisont and Valencia, the Bullo and Soft ceiling lamps, Tyson and Cato spotlights and the Taurus outdoor family — most of them designed by Joakim Fihn — and Belle by Notchi Architects.
Belid is a Swedish lighting brand with its own factory and atelier in Varberg, on the west coast of Sweden. The collection covers pendants, table and floor lamps, wall and ceiling lamps, spotlights and the Global track system, and outdoor lights — in lacquered metal, hand-blown glass, brass and hand-sewn linen and wool. From long-running classics such as the Primus kitchen pendant, designed in the mid-1980s, and the Cato reading lamp to newer families like Belle, Horisont, Soft and Taurus. Many of the designs are by Joakim Fihn.
