Since its inception in 2015, Tiptoe has brought a fresh vision to the French design landscape. The studio has carved out a unique identity, characterized by a timeless aesthetic, bold use of color, and innovative material applications. With each new collection, Tiptoe successfully embraces creative challenges, setting new standards in French design.
Tiptoe draws inspiration from the founding principles of mid-20th century French design, yet it has developed its own standards rooted in industrial excellence, unwavering sustainability, and a commitment to timelessness. Guided by simplicity and functionality, the studio’s designers have crafted a distinctive style that reflects a vibrant and modern vision of object design. For Tiptoe, furniture is central to daily life, and its creations are designed to be beautiful, useful, and enduring.
From the beginning, Tiptoe has insisted on 100% European production, leveraging the exceptional craftsmanship of its partners, who specialize in wood, metal, and recycled plastic. This dedication to high-quality manufacturing is deeply rooted in the heritage of founder Matthieu Bourgeaux, whose family workshop in Haute-Savoie, specializing in precision metalwork, has been a key industrial partner for nearly a decade.
Driven by a culture of craftsmanship, Tiptoe delivers sustainable and repairable objects designed to stand the test of time. The studio continually explores new materials, particularly recycled ones, and develops innovative manufacturing methods to ensure the longevity of its products. Tiptoe’s commitment to sustainability is holistic, encompassing every stage of a product's lifecycle. In recognition of its efforts, the company achieved B Corp certification in 2021.
In less than a decade, Tiptoe has captured the hearts of over 60,000 customers across more than 30 countries.
