Unboring Objects, Handmade in Vietnam
BằNG is an independent design studio from Vietnam on a simple mission: to make unboring objects. Working from their own workshop, the studio designs and handcrafts lighting, furniture and home accessories that pair honest industrial techniques with Vietnamese craft traditions — and a joyfully unapologetic colour palette.
The Lớp collection, designed by Thomas Vincent for BằNG, captures the studio's spirit perfectly: a matte opal glass sphere floating between layers of casted acrylic, so that the lit lamp multiplies into shimmering afterimages. Available in four sizes and ten finishes — from clear and milky acrylic to electric pink and mirror-polished stainless steel — every piece is assembled and finished by hand in Vietnam.
