Daylight Italia
Lamptwist is official reseller of
An Italian light-source maker from Pero, outside Milan, whose filament bulbs are built to be looked at. Long COB chips give them an unusual amount of light for their size — up to 2350 lumens from a 38 mm tube — while the glass does the styling: clear where the filament line should show, satin where it should not. The reflector shapes glow across a whole frosted dome rather than from a single bright point.
Daylight Italia is an Italian light-source maker based in Pero, just outside Milan, and it builds the kind of bulb you are meant to see rather than hide. The filament range runs on long COB chips rather than the short ones most filament bulbs use, which is how a lamp this size reaches 2350 lumens. The T38 is a slim 38 mm tube, in clear glass where the filament line should show or in a satin finish where it should not; the R125 is a broad 125 mm reflector whose frosted dome glows evenly across its whole face, in a wide-beam version for lighting a room and a narrower one for throwing light down onto a table. Alongside them sits a flat GX53 disc for shallow fittings, in warm white and in a cooler 4000 K. Every bulb carries a UV-stop coating and a rated life of 15,000 hours, and most of the range dims.
