Minale

MINALE is a family design house, originally established in Milano in 1968 and re-born in 2025. It was founded by architect and metal craftsman Massimo (Buster) Minale, also the founder of Buster + Punch, around a box of unrealised sketchbooks left by his late father, the renowned Italian designer Marcello Minale, whose work alongside Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta is now held in the collection of the V&A museum. Massimo re-engineers these drawings with contemporary precision: the 2SHADES and 4SHADES lights in lacquered aluminium with solid brass details, the chrome-and-leather Lounge Chair and Dining Chair descended from the 1968 Castiglia, and the polished-steel CHAIN mirror first drawn for Fendi's boutique in Milan. His father's line, realised through the son's craft.
