By expanding this heritage with forward-looking materials, techniques and bold creative thinking, our ambition is to deliver new perspectives on Scandinavian design.
In fact our name, Muuto, comes from muutos, meaning new perspective in Finnish. We handpick leading contemporary designers who are strong interpreters of our philosophy and combine their talents with the passionate Muuto creative team.
You will know our design because it has muutos: objects made sublime through new perspectives, enjoyed across the world, representing the best of Scandinavian design today.
Muuto: a new perspective on Scandinavian design
Muuto is a Danish design label rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression. The brand was started by two Danish friends, and its name means 'new perspective'. That is exactly what its designers bring to furniture, lighting and accessories for the home and the workplace: familiar archetypes, reworked with a light touch and plenty of colour.
Muuto furniture
Muuto furniture covers the whole home. Gather around a round Midst Table, a 70/70 Table or a Base Table, sit on Fiber, Visu, Loft or Brink chairs and stools, and relax on the Outline, Rest, In Situ or Connect Soft sofas or in a Doze lounge chair. For storage there is the modular Stacked Storage System, the Mini Stacked wall shelves and the Enfold and Reflect sideboards, and for offices and meeting rooms the Linear System tables with screens, trays and table power.
Muuto lighting
The lighting range is minimalist and functional, with details that reveal themselves on closer inspection. Choose pendants such as Ambit, Rime, Strand and the E27, table and floor lamps such as Tip, Beam, Post and Linear, the Fine wall and ceiling lamp, or the rechargeable Ease portable lamp for a terrace or a dinner table.
Accessories
Finish a room with Muuto accessories: Ply and Relevo rugs, Restore baskets and trays, Ridge vases, Dots coat hooks and Framed mirrors, all in the same calm Scandinavian palette.
