Vaarnii makes lighting and furniture in solid Finnish pine, in Finland. The Hans lamps are new editions of Hans-Agne Jakobsson's pine-veneer designs from the 1960s, glowing warm through the wood, joined by John Tree's Hoop table lamp. The furniture is by designers such as Ronan Bouroullec (Maasto), Max Lamb, Faye Toogood and Fredrik Paulsen: archetypal, heavy-set pieces with a matt hardwax-oil finish.
Vaarnii is a Finnish brand that works in one material: Finnish pine. It brings international designers and Finnish makers together on lighting and furniture built to last. The Hans pendant, ceiling and wall lights re-edit Hans-Agne Jakobsson's 1960s pine-veneer lamps, the Hoop table lamp is by John Tree, and the furniture includes Ronan Bouroullec's Maasto chairs and tables, Max Lamb's 005 Lounge Chair, Faye Toogood's Peace outdoor chair and Fredrik Paulsen's 001 range. Everything is made in Finland.
