Pallucco, historic brand in the world of design specialized in the production of decorative lamps and interior furnishings, was born in the 1970s in Rome thanks to architect Paolo Pallucco. In the early 1980s, the company moved to the Veneto region and immediately stood out for the non- conformist concept of its designs and image. Pallucco stands for design culture and experimentation of art, architecture and design: in an ongoing exploration of the boundaries of contemporary design and with great freedom of expression, which is the authentic label of Pallucco, the company switches from the research of the most diverse idioms and styles, under the guidance of Hannes Wettstein and Jurgen Bey, to contamination with the fashion world through the collaboration with photographer Peter Lindbergh and stylist Rei Kawakubo. Pallucco's collection includes designs that revive ancient techniques such as glass blowing in cage or explore the technical and aesthetic potential of metal mesh or again reinterpret the traditional chandelier in light of inspirations taken from modern art. A new language, made up of creativity, quality and attention to details, brings exclusive products to the Pallucco collection, alongside models which have become icons, such as the Fortuny lamp, a visionary masterpiece from the early twentieth century and still contemporary. 2017 marks a turning point for the company. In fact, from November 2016, the new owner of Pallucco is Venetian entrepreneur Lino Lando, who already owns Venetia Studium, a company that manufactures Fortuny® branded lamps. It is his passion for design, his awareness of the prestigious standing of the Pallucco brand and his desire to incorporate into a single ownership the two original designs of the Fortuny lamp which led Lino Lando to decide to acquire the company with a main objective: to consolidate and develop the brand through ongoing research and the study of new designs.
