Some planting is best lit from above. Zapa Native Rod raises the same small brass head on a rod almost a metre long, so that it stands clear of lavender, box or a deep border and lets the light fall onto the plants rather than up into them. In the evening the flowers seem to glow on their own, and the rod disappears among the stems. Lens 25° or 40°.
