Make things different, change things around and look at things from a different perspective. Think Paper, founded by Ben Stevens and Ralph Scheepers, owes this name to the origin of their work and is based on an ideology to see things from a different perspective.
What started out as an innocent schoolproject quickly turned into the key of what they have accomplished so far. In 2011, the two budding architects designed a building manufactured out of a very unique choice of material, cardboard. Now this spectaculair concept is being used and translated into exclusive products and custom made objects worldwide, inspired by their passion for design and unusual, sustainable materials.
In 2013 the cardboard building by Think Paper made a sequel known as The Dutch Tulip commissioned by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). This 140 m² pavilion made its debut at the WorldSkills event in Leipzig and was also fully manufactured out of cardboard. Over 1000 competitors, 2000 experts, 3000 volunteers and 200.000 visitors converged on Leipzig, making it the biggest World Skills International event to date.
Working with unusual materials like cardboard started to really plant its seeds when Think Paper launched one of its first product lines, the Squaremeterstand. A fun, foldable stand which easily fits into a handy portable case no bigger then one squaremeter. Shortly after the launch of the Squaremeterstand, the two founders came up with a new product line. High-end designer lamps called Kraftlights, inspired by the rare ‘’Easy Edge Cardboard Lamps’’ by famous architect Frank O. Gehry (1970).
Up to this day, and counting, Think Paper has been able to create an unique portfolio full with trendy products and specials for both business and consumer markets, national as well as international.
